Sadly, this is Miss Napoli's last week of student teaching in our classroom. She's been a wonderful teacher to your children, making the lessons interesting, educational and fun!  She'll be finishing her semester of student teaching in a first grade classroom at Erie Island. You are an awesome teacher, Miss Napoli!

We'd like to welcome a new little giraffe, Steven, to our class.  We know you'll love Pfeiffer!

Congratulations to Victoria and Lamont for being our Good Citizens this month.

Last week I sent home a "mid-term report" to keep you informed of your child's academic strengths and weaknesses. Grades close next week and I will be checking these skills again and some additional ones, including addresses and phone numbers. Please work on any areas that were circled. Another math chapter test is also enclosed.

Our next math chapter covers the numbers from 1 through 5; this chapter will provide an overview of these numbers. We are also going to work on each of these numbers in depth for a one week period---this week will be number 1. We will practice learning to write the numerals correctly and see what combinations make up each number (2 blue crayons and 1 red crayon make 3 crayons altogether), a prerequisite for addition and subtraction.
