Teacher's Desk

    School picture day is this Wednesday October 10th. These pictures are pre-paid so don't forget to send the money for the picture package you've chosen for your child.

     Show and Tell and Purple Day will is on Tuesday. Then we are going to have Pajama Day on Thursday to celebrate the letter P for the week.  Your child will be invited to wear pajamas to school on Thursday as well as to bring a pillow.  A Homework paper will be going home Wednesday and will be due on Thursday. There is NO SCHOOL on Friday this week.

    We're returning the second reading test and a mid-term evaluation this week. Your practice with those leaf flash cards really seemed to help!  Please keep reading those sentences and word rings for extra practice.

    Snack for next week will be provided by Victoria, Daryl, Jaelyn, and Ricky.  Look on the snack calendar in the back of your child's GIRAFFE notebook to see which day your child is scheduled to bring in a snack for the class.

    Also, look for the leaf sorting cards that will be sent home.  We used these in class to sort by three different attributes which were color, shape, and size.  It would be a great for you and your child to practice this at home, especially sorting by size.  Sorting is something  that we all  need to keep practicing.
