Teacher's Desk

Kindergarten screening and the KRA-L test went well. I will send home a copy of the results soon so you can learn your child's strengths and what they need to practice. You can set up an appointment to talk to me before or after school if you have any questions about your child's screening.

This Thursday your child should wear something yellow to school and bring a yellow item for Show and Tell.

Homework will be due on Friday. There will be an S handwriting worksheet to complete and return. Also, have your child bring a "secret sound" in a bag. This could be anything that will make noise (a coin that could be dropped, paper to tear, a bell to ring, etc.) We will try to guess their "secret" sound so be sure to keep it hidden before school. The children will often need to use crayons or scissors to do homework so please purchase some to keep at home.

Please practice the vocabulary words so your child doesn't get behind! Every child should be able to read these words: red, blue, yellow, the, is, a and be able to recognize capital and lower case Mm and Ss.
