A permission
slip for our field trip to Chestnut Ridge Park is included. Please
sign it and send it back this week. I'm also sending home required
Driver Information Forms for the parents who volunteered to
transport children that day (Monday, June 2). Thanks for your help!
Our Kindergarten
graduation will be Thursday, May 29, at 1:30 in the afternoon. Please
try to attend or send a friend or relative in your place. I would
also appreciate some help with refreshments on that day (cookies, brownies, etc.)
A note will come home next week.
The children may
bring one item of their choice for Show and Tell on THURSDAY.
Homework this week (may be brought in any day) is to bring in some
seeds--you can send in a packet of seeds or just save the seeds from
apples, oranges, pears, etc. This will be the final homework for the
year.
We are completing our end of
the year language arts test this week. I will let you know how your
children did on the end of the year reading and math tests within
the next two weeks.
Keep practicing the
items on the Word Rings in your child's binder, including the words,
numbers and personal information. I'm checking a few of the report card
skills as time allows.
We will celebrate
summer birthdays during the last two weeks of school. Next week I
will send home a calendar listing the date we will celebrate
your child's summer birthday. You may send a birthday treat for your
child on that date if you would like but it's not required.
