Show and Tell will be on Thursday this week. The children may either bring something beginning with letter Q or something "little" (our new vocabulary word).

There is a note attached for parents who want to chaperone our zoo field trip. Parent admission costs $10.00 and you may purchase your ticket at the zoo when we arrive. Please sign and return the note if you plan to come along to the zoo. There is no cost for the children's admissions, Happy Meal lunches or charter bus transportation; we are paying for everything with the money we earned from the Valentine Gram Sale, Sock Hop proceeds and a generous donation from Victoria's grandfather. Also please return the Zoo permission slip promptly.

We're taking a break this week from the sentence dictation. Instead the homework this week is a Zoo Animal Report that is due next Monday. (You may send it earlier.) Your child has an envelope containing instructions, the report form and a zoo magazine to use for reference in completing the report. Thank you for your help with this.

This week's snacks will be provided by Courtney, Josie, Justin and Trystan. Thank you! We appreciated last week's snacks from Kevin, Lamont, Daryl and Moira.

The district-wide Kindergarten Writing Test will be this week. I'll let you know your child's score in a few weeks when the results are returned to me.

Continue to practice writing our vocabulary words for extra review. We'll be having our end of the year reading test in a few weeks.

Special

Thanks

Thanks to Victoria's grandfather for giving a donation to help with our zoo field trip! Thanks to Isabel's Mom for making the small reading practice books each week. We appreciated the napkins sent in by Daryl's family and the fresh fruit and cheese sent in my Moira's family.
