From the

Teacher's Desk

I'm sorry to say that my doctor did not release me to return to school this week. Ms. Massaro will continue teaching this week and I'll be back next week.

We're looking forward to the Sock Hop this Friday, March 28! Come dance, eat and enjoy yourselves. Thanks to everyone who helped with food donations.

Show and Tell will be on Thursday this week. The children should bring something beginning with letter Y. There is a note attached about this week's homework (sentence dictation) which is coming home today (Monday).  The homework is due on Friday.

I will check report card skills next week when I return to school.  I will not have time to recheck skills or send a note regarding things that need extra practice; you will probably want to check this week to see if your child needs to practice any skills. Review the words and numbers on the word rings, the alphabet letters and the letter sounds. Practice counting to at least 75 by ones, fives and tens. See if they remember their full name, address and phone number.

Kindergarten Report card pick-up is scheduled for Tuesday OR Wednesday, April 1 or April 2. However, I will NOT have time to complete the report cards by those dates. I will let you know next week when you can get your child's report card. I'm sorry about the delay but I prefer to check the skills myself so I can meet the needs of each individual child.

The Pizza Hut Book-It Program is finished this week. The final date to return the March reading calendars is Thursday, April 3.

Yo! Yes!

Please praise your child for neat handwriting. Practice forming letters correctly, making letters the right size (one or two spaces) and writing on the lines. This will help your child get ready for first grade work.

Special

Thanks

Ms. Massaro would like to thank all of you for being so helpful and supportive while she was teaching the past few weeks.
