I will be having
surgery this Wednesday and will miss about 3 weeks of school. In my
absence your child's teacher will be Ms. Massaro, a certified
Kindergarten teacher. We've talked about our class procedures and our
curriculum; she will be teach the planned reading, math and theme
lessons. I'll miss the children but I'm confident they'll be learning
with a wonderful teacher while I'm gone. I've added about 8 words to
your child's word ring so you'll have them available to practice. The
weekly newsletters will come home to keep you informed but there won't
be any photos for a few weeks.
Pfeiffer School is having
a Math Parent Involvement Activity on Thursday. Parents may come
at 1:45 for some great tips about working on math skills at home. Students
who send in the permission slips will stay an extra hour after school
(with or without a parent) to play a math game and work on some
measurement activities. Every child will get to take home a new math
game!
For Show and Tell this
week, bring something beginning with letter V on Thursday. We have two
homework projects this week. A worksheet will be sent home on Thursday
and is due on Friday. Also, there will be a form on a large toothbrush sent home to keep track
of teeth brushing this week; there is a note attached about this dental
health project. This will be due next Tuesday, March 4.
The March Pizza
Hut paper is included and March is the final month of the Pizza Hut
Book-It program. Next week is the last week I can accept the February
Pizza Hut calendars.
