From the

Teacher's Desk

There is NO school this Friday because of a teacher inservice day and next Monday because of Presidents' Day.

Thanks for supporting the Valentine Gram sale by purchasing them and helping sell them. We're still selling them through Wednesday of this week. Thanks to the Moms of Isabella, Stevie and Dougie for helping with Valentine Grams last week.

The 100 homework projects turned out great! We appreciated your help with them.

Show and Tell this week will be on Thursday; bring something beginning with letter W.  A homework paper will come home Wednesday night and be due on Thursday.

Children may bring in Valentines Tuesday or Wednesday. Our Valentine Party will begin at 1:15 on Thursday, February 14. We appreciate your contributions for the party and treats for the children.

The Take Home Reading program is going well. I can see an improvement in reading skills already. How about you? The children are excited to be reading real books and sharing their reading skills with students in other classrooms each day after lunch.

Where the Wild Things Are

The children are having a difficult time with numbers between 11 and 20, especially sequencing them (like the dot-to-dots.) Please work on this at home.

Special

Thanks

Thanks to Camryn for last week's snack.

We appreciated the extra treasure chest treats from Isabel's family and glue sticks from Josie's family.
