this week. Due to Friday's unexpected "ice day" I left my camera at
school.
We had a great turn-out at Report Card Pick-up on
Wednesday and Thursday! I
appreciate you taking the time to come. I'll send home the remainder of
the report cards today.
No
Show and Tell this week. Friday will be the 100th Day of school and the
due date for the homework
project will be extended to that day. Children are to choose one item
(cheerios, pennies, beans, goldfish crackers, etc.), count out 100 of
them, and make them into a design or picture by gluing them to a piece
of cardboard. Some suggestions for the design are writing the child's
name, making the numeral 100, or making a shape (like a heart) out of
the item. Have fun and be creative! Please remember to use 100 of the
same item--don't mix beans and cheerios into one project.
Snacks this week will be provided by Steven, Ricky and Camryn. Thank
you!
Friday is the last day to send in January Pizza Hut reading calendars.
There is a February Pizza Hut calendar included.
Please remember that our class Valentine Party will be on Thursday, February 14 at 1:00. (The rest of
Pfeiffer School will have their party this Friday but I will not be in
school that day.) Children may bring in Valentines next
Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. A list of
classmates' and staff names is included. If you will be sending
something in for the party please let me know by Friday so I can pass
that information on to the room parents.
We will begin selling Valentine Grams this Thursday and the sale
will continue through Wed., Feb. 13. Please support our fundraising by purchasing some
Valentine Grams and the kindergarten teachers extend our appreciation to
everyone who will be helping us with the sale! The proceeds are for our
Cleveland Zoo field trip.
I
will let you know if the Awards Assembly will be rescheduled or just
sent home.
