We still need 5 large metal coffee cans
for a craft project. Please ask grandparents, aunts and uncles to see if
they can help us out. This is the final week because I have to
paint them over the coming weekend. I hope every child gets to make
this craft!
For
Show and Tell this week
(Wednesday), the children can
bring something beginning with letter I or something that is a solid
shape (cube, sphere, pyramid, cylinder, cone, rectangular prism).
Homework this week is completing a fire safety checklist. It will be due
on
Friday.
Our
Parent Writing Workshop is this Friday, Dec. 7, at 12:45 in the
library. Please try to come. I'll be sending home a reminder with
this newsletter. You will be helping your child create a "mini office"
to use as a reference when practicing writing at home.
There will be no new snack calendar until January. We'll be using
the "leftovers" for the next 3 weeks.
There is a note attached to sign up to help us next Wednesday,
Dec. 12, with our "Santa Workshop". We will be making some
Christmas crafts and rotating the children through centers. We'll begin
right after announcements at the start of school.
This week we will be learning about fire safety this week. We'll practice dialing 911 so students should be able to
state their name and address for this activity---do a quick review of
this at home.
PTA is having a Santa Shop next Thursday through Friday (Dec. 13-14) so students can
purchase inexpensive gifts for family members. A
reminder will be coming home
I've also included the Pizza Hut Book-It calendar for December and
a book
order. Return the book order by Friday if you're ordering.
