From the

Teacher's Desk

NO Show and Tell or Homework this week. The disguised turkeys look wonderful!

Don't forget to send in a can of fruit on Tuesday for our Friendship Fruit Salad.

We are still using our "leftover" snacks. I'll send a new snack calendar home in a few weeks. Thanks to the families of Stevie and Dougie   for sending in "extra" snacks and treats this week.

We appreciate that many families contributed food for the canned food drive last week! Your generosity will help several families have a brighter Thanksgiving!

It will be a short and busy week. We're making a Thanksgiving Book, working on one page each day. On Tuesday afternoon  we will have our mini feast. We'll make butter, eat corn muffins, have our Friendship Fruit Salad  I'm tired just thinking about it!

A letter is included with details regarding the homework assignment for the week after Thanksgiving. We'll be talking about Families and it includes completing a Family Information paper and sending in 6 family photos. Thanks!

Don't forget the Parent Involvement Workshop on Thursday, December 7,  from 12:45 till 2:15 in the library. You and your child will construct a "mini office" to use as a reference when writing.

I hope your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the extra time you will have together!
