Red Song (tune of Jingle Bells) R E D, R E D,
Red, red, red, red, red.
Apples, cherries, and strawberries
All are shades of red.
Stop, look and listen
Before you cross the street.
Use your eyes.
Use your ears.
And then you use your feet.
From the
Teacher's Desk
Our class will be hosting a
student teacher from the University of Akron, Miss Lorine Napoli, for
the first nine weeks of the school year. It will be wonderful for the
children to have additional support and individualized attention during these first weeks of
school. Please stop in to welcome Miss Napoli!
There is a
puzzle
attached to help your child learn to spell the color word "red". Cut
it apart and store it in a ziplock bag. There is also a
tracing paper of your child's name.
This is the correct way for your child to write his/her name. Please
practice the "school way."
If you did not already sign a
permission slip to have your child's
picture published on our class website,
please send it with your child tomorrow. I will only be using photos
and first names--no last names. The children will be excited to see
themselves on the computer monitor. If you don't have a computer, you
can view our website at the Kenmore Library---http://www.littlegiraffes.com Thursday's homework
will be drawing a picture
and completing a sentence about how your child got ready for
kindergarten. There will be a note enclosed about the assignment.
